‘Stroke Fundamentals’ for children aged 5 and above
Over 9 eight-week parts, children will progress from water discovery to swimming strokes. This is done in a class ratio of 1 coach to maximum 6 students.
In the first lessons, the basic aquatic movements are taught, which builds a strong, important foundation for swimming. This is followed by learning front crawl, backstroke and breaststroke through a series of specific drills targeted to inculcate the basic building blocks of each stroke. These include single arm swim, side flutter kick, and sculling movements. Upon completion, the child will be able to swim 25 metres of each of these 3 strokes.
